Prologe - Light captured in a black box

Prologe and Regule complement the collection based on our principles for working with light: quality, architectural integration and design. The names "Prologe" and "Regule" have been adapted from "Prologus in Antiphonarium" and "Regule Rithmice", two manuscripts by the mediaeval music theorist Guido d'Arezzo. He created the basics of the system of music notation that we all know; a concept that embraced both useful theoretical principles and the practical skill needed to perform music. Prologe and Regule - two new light concepts, key elements in a modular system that offers enormous flexibility for composing systematic yet highly individual light scenography.

Design by Kristof Pycke
Prologe 80
Prologe wants to create functional light through the discreet presence of simple architectural volumes. The original element of this family is light, captured in a small surface mounted box. The housing is made of steel finished in dark grey, black or white wet paint. Different louvre options give this basic volume the identity that fits with its surroundings.
Prologe 80 In-Line / In Dolma

Prologe 80 in-Line

Light is given mass, depth and form. Recessed in a ceiling, it sculpts architecture. Openings are made in the plastered surfaces using prefabricated anodised aluminium profiles that support the Prologe elements. The profiles, measure-made, are pre-cabled and assembled according to your lighting design. The lamp housings are made of steel finished in dark grey, black or white wet paint. Different louvre options give the profile the identity that fits with its surroundings.

Prologe 80 in-Dolma

Prologe luminaires protrude slightly from the recessed anodised aluminium housing whereby ceilings can be turned into flexible and functional landscapes, an architectural playground for light. The profiles, measure-made, are pre-cabled and assembled according to your lighting design. The lamp housings are made of steel finished in dark grey, black or white wet paint. Different louvre options give the profile the identity that fits with its surroundings
Prologe 80 on regule
The Regule is a surface mounted extruded aluminium profile that re-invents the track system. It creates an ultimate dialogue between fixture and ceiling while the track profile itself becomes an integral part of the architecture. The Regule track is host to a variety of Prologe elements with different light sources. This new designed rail is equipped for 3 circuits and dimchannel. Once the fixtures are clipped into the Regule, they can be repositioned to meet changing requirements. Prologe 80 on-Regule offers various fixed lightsources and directional low-voltage fixtures. The lamp housings are made of steel finished in dark grey, black or white wet paint. Different louvre options give the profile the identity that fits with its surroundings.

Prologe 145
Prologe wants to create functional light through the discreet presence of simple architectural volumes and Prologe 145 adds fixed and directional lightsources to this family in a surface mounted box. The lightbeam can be controlled with changeable reflectors and aimed into the room to perform different lighting tasks. The housing is made of steel finished in dark grey, black or white wet paint. Different louvre options give this basic volume the identity that fits with its surroundings.

The Regule track is host to a variety of Prologe elements with different light sources. This new designed rail is equipped for 3 circuits and dimchannel. Once the fixtures are clipped into the Regule profile, they can be repositioned to meet changing requirements. The available directional lightsources in the Prologe 145 on-Regule range add flexibility an provide sufficient light output for applications where flexible, directed lighting is required. Various reflectors are available for low voltage halogen lamps and metal halide lamps. The lamp housing is made of steel finished in dark grey, black or white wet paint. Different louvre options give the profile the identity that fits with its surroundings.
